To become a global hub for space research and innovation by securing key strategic technologies in space services and manufacturing, revitalizing the industrial ecosystem, and leading joint international research
Key Missions
Develop core technologies for the space service and manufacturing industry, including deployable and self-assembling small unmanned space stations (KUSS), space robotics (KUSSbot), and systems for space cargo transport and recovery, and ensure technical reliability through both ground and in-orbit tests
Enhance the competitiveness of Korea’s space industry by forming and operating a consortium of companies, academia, research institutes, and government agencies to share test facilities, establish a joint space component supply chain, and promote standardization
Formulate joint space service/manufacturing projects and build an international cooperation framework based on strategic partnerships with leading global institutions
